Create two fabulous costume pieces in a 2 hour workshop with Lolly Moon!
Course Description
Lolly Moon is a DIY crafty burlesque performer who creates most of her stunning costumes and accessories! From fabric to feathers Lolly can help you make some glamorous costume pieces without breaking the bank!
In this workshop you will be making a burlesque headpiece and shimmy belt! You will also learn some Hot tips on rhinestoning, like where to get your stones, what glue to use and much more!
Materials you will need to bring:
Headpiece items:
- Hair side comb (chemist warehouse or hair shops will have these)
- A piece of fabric at least 30x30cm this will cover your headpiece so pick fabric that might match a costume your making!
Additional accessories:
- Lace appliqués
- Ostrich feather
- Fringe
- Flowers
Shimmy belt :
- Fringe (5cm-20cm width) of your choice (the amount you choose will determine how full your shimmy belt will be!)
For a basic belt you will need at least 1m
For a 4 strip belt you will need at least 2m
For a full glam belt you will need at least 4m (You can purchase fringe from spotlight)
- Non-Roll Elastic at least 2cm width - measure your natural waist and add 5cm this will be the amount you need.
- Lingerie clasp/bather clip (spotlight)
- Needle and thread
If you have a hot glue gun and glue sticks please bring this ! I will have 1 but it’s faster with more!
What to Wear
Something comfortable and warm, bring a pillow to sit or to keep comfy!
